New! Cafe Hours are now Open! April Edition 2024
Let’s brew, sip and chat! How Do You Take Your Coffee?
Hello dearest reader!
How are you? How are all the things?
I’m so excited for this little experimental project! The Mantras & Coffee: Coffee House Open Thread ! A brand new addition to my Substack publication: the Mantras & Coffee subscriber chat.
You, my friend, are invited to come and hangout at this amazing coffee house over across town! Or across the world depending on where you’re reading this from. Ha!
This is a conversation space in the Substack app that I set up exclusively for my subscribers — kind of like a group chat or live hangout. I’ll post short prompts, thoughts, and updates that come my way, and you can jump into the discussion.
To join our chat, you’ll need to download the Substack app, now available for both iOS and Android. Chats are sent via the app, not email, so turn on push notifications so you don’t miss conversation as it happens.
We can be anywhere and still be together in our own cozy coffee house. Sound like fun?!
In really taking time to put in some learning here on Substack, taking in such valuable insights from
and , I’ve discovered more and more the importance of holding space for community. The support we receive from other creators is invaluable to our own personal and professional growth. It’s been a dream watching my subscriber growth rise. I truly enjoy writing to each of you! Writing this Substack publication been the matchstick to my fire. When I sit each morning, to meditate , I get quiet, I like to picture you all, in regular lives, living, working, dealing with all the hard, and celebrating all the good. But, as I write to you I yearn to know more about all of you! So, in creating this monthly open thread, my hope is create more of a sense of community here. I’m hoping it encourages genuine conversations and support for what we are all working on as creatives. It’s sort of a funny story, I had decided I wanted to try this. Then, learned about Russell Nohelty’s, The Author Ecosystems. I am a Forest. It makes complete sense because I love community and the feeling of co-existence. Highly recommend exploring Russell’s work over there.
I love going to our town’s local coffee shops to work. There is just something to providing yourself with a structured boundary of creating time. Sometimes we all just need a change in scenery. So, think of it as a cafe that you are taking yourself to get some focused work accomplished.
