Hi there, my dear reader!

My name is Mary Beth and WELCOME to Mantras and Coffee!

So, go on…pour yourself a cup of your favorite libation, get cozy and enjoy!

The purpose with this space is to create a safe and soft landing for anyone that needs it. A place to stop by when things seem overwhelming and chaotic. A place to take a moment for yourself, take a breath, pause, and remember what it’s like to be alive in the sweetest of ways. With some raw, real life ugly sprinkled in…just because…life can get to be a lot, ya know…? I think I am most in need of this type of space, so why not create it?!

Mantras & Coffee is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Even in all it’s glory and in the most tragic moments, we always learn something. Day after day, constantly being inundated with EVERYTHING. We all need a little help sometimes. So, this is my offering, my way giving back to all my mentors and teachers that have supported me and given me their direct support when I needed it most.

Page Break

Mantras and Coffee began as a seed of an idea a while ago for me. As I sat in my morning meditation…mind wondering, like usual… going down into my personal, self-deprecating spiral. I decided, instead of continuously beating myself up about not writing and producing an entire blog website, I wish I could just simply write a short column, easily. “Simplify!” I could call it Mantras and Coffee. So, here we are.

I love mantras and I love coffee. There are few things that compare to my morning quiet time paired with my most perfect, hot cup o’ coffee. Mantras are thoughts. We have the ability to allow our positive, feeling thoughts to become mantras. Especially during high-stress moments. Ancient mantra is, also, an extraordinary tool and I just love exploring them.

I am so excited to share current favorite mantras, meditations, writings, poetry, musings, books and all the inspirations that are keeping my energy moving, loving and alive, with you, my dear reader. I also LOVE writing my own poetry and other works. So, I will be exclusively sharing specially crafted pieces and writing prompts, right here, on a monthly basis.

Stay tuned! Hope you enjoy!!

With grace & gratitude,

Mary Beth

Why subscribe?

For me, guiding, helping and loving my family as we traverse up this mountain, called childhood cancer, has been a very intensive, full-time job. And I’m here for every inch of it. Tethered and ready for anything.

You see, for me, writing has become a close friend, these past few years. Even more so, post-diagnosis for my eldest son, this last year.

The best gift in finding this friend, has been the healing part. The second best, has been being able to do it, from anywhere, while being the caretaker, my son (and his siblings) deserve and need, right now and into the unforeseen future. My plight is to continue to show-up for this medicine-giving friend routinely. Carving out a new way and pushing ahead despite all odds. And to continue to share the things that have been pivotal in helping me take on daily life.

I thoroughly research and craft each publication. If you are finding value and enjoy my newsletter, perhaps consider a paid subscription.

Your support helps to keep life rolling, freshly brewed coffee in my kitchen daily, and me writing. It is truly appreciated. Thank you.🙏🏼

What do I get as a paid subscriber?

(Under construction and coming soon) A private podcast with interviews and chats about life, mantras of course, writing and poetry. Community-based accountability for meditating and writing and access to the complete back catalog of Mantas and Coffee.
