I entered 2024 with a seized up back and then CoVID. I guess The Universe needed to rent out a billboard to get my attention. I have decided to rethink January as the week between Christmas and NYs. I am going to take the whole month to prepare for the year ahead. I slept 10 hours last night. Slowing down indeed.

This evening we picked more than 20kg of apples from our tree. I pulled up beetroot, plucked Roma tomatoes from their vines, ate a few strawberries and snoopers and cut many rhubarb canes to cook with some of the apples. The delight I feel, harvesting after so much work to prepare the ground, is just so satisfying. Growing produce is slow going but incredibly rewarding and I now have so much to share. Thank you for yet another soothing read. Bless 🩷🩵
