Hi Mary Beth, I made myself a mantra that kept me going through the darkest caregiving days. Part positive affirmations, part meditation, part motivator. So this post resonates.
Thank you so much for your wise and soothing words, Mary Beth. I started out my morning listening to your Winter Sounds playlist and it was such a lovely way to move into the day.
Loved this post, I have recently been watching Sr. Maria on YouTube, she was talking about saying a phrase( mantra) that would help us to keep God in prayers throughout our day
I repeat" Jesus, may your peace reign in my heart" .
I.love using mantras to help bring back my heart and mind back to the present moment, along with breathing intentionally for 3 breaths, it's a comforting practice to return to self, to the here and now.
I have just acquired Eknath Easwarans book, I feel it will be helpful for me.
I.once read ' Climbing the blue mountain ', I think that is the title, also.' God makes the rivers to flow' an anthology of Sacred poetry and prose..
Both worth looking at, the first was another step towards the light on my spiritual journey and the second a companion of Sacred poetry on my spiritual path.
I recently saw that you had messaged me Mary, Thank You, my health has not been good, but I manage a day at a time.
Poetry, kirtan, prayer all healing practices support me daily.
I hope all is well with you. Prayers for you and the family ,I hope all is good with Jo at the moment.
